Based in spectacular Vancouver, Michael McConkey received his Ph.D. from McGill University, in
Montreal (1990). Since that time he has worked in a wide range of milieus educational and
professional.
He brings to his work a distinguished blend of research, strategic and teaching skills; possesses a
unique knowledge-base combining insight into leading ideas in organizational dynamics, governance and
management, organizational communications, and public engagement; has a decade of experience as an educator;
and several years as researcher in a think tank with an international consultancy business. He is a highly
motivated and gifted educator, dedicated to life-long learning and possesses a record of exceptional
accomplishment in all fields of endeavour.
His hobby is the study of Enlightenment philosophy and science. He’s the father of two adult
children currently pursuing their post-secondary education.
